Latest Mahindra XUV500 Interior Key Features

 First launched in 2011, the Mahindra XUV500 is one of the best-selling SUVs in its segment. In the past 10 years, the XUV500 received multiple upgrades and feature additions. The company is now ready to give a new life to the popular XUV500 (new-gen Mahindra XUV500), which has been caught testing multiple times.


Not just exterior, the new-gen Mahindra XUV500 interior has also been snapped several times. The SUV received an all-new cabin, which is premium and feature-loaded. In this article, we talk about 5 key facts about the interior of the upcoming new-gen Mahindra XUV500. 

Mercedes Inspired Dual-screen


The spy images confirm that the new-gen Mahindra XUV500 will come with a dual-screen setup, which looks similar to the one offered on few Mercedes-Benz models such as the EQC pure EV. The dual-screen setup comprises a large touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument console.

The AC vents are placed below the infotainment screen, while the switchgear for dual-zone climate control and other functions are placed lower on the central console. The start-stop button is placed next to the central AC vents. The SUV will get a multi-functional steering wheel.

Power Adjustable Front Seats

The 2021 Mahindra XUV500 will come equipped with power-adjustable driver and front passenger seats. The SUV could get an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, while the 6-way adjustable seat is likely to be offered for the co-occupant. The buttons are placed on the door trim. The driver seat is also likely to get a memory function.

Leather Upholstery

The top-end variant will come with a leather-wrapped dashboard. Adding to it, the gear knob, armrest and steering wheel will also be wrapped in premium leather. The SUV will also get leather seats for the top-end variant.

ADAS

The new-gen Mahindra XUV500 will also come equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Mahindra had joined hands with the South Korean Mando company to source ADAS. The SUV will receive, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Park Assist.

6-and 7-seat Layout

The second generation Mahindra XUV500 will be offered in 6 and 7-seat layouts. The six-seater SUV will have captain seats for the second-row, while the 7-seater model will receive a bench-type second-row seat with a 60:40 split function.

The new generation Mahindra XUV500 will be offered a factory-fitted panoramic sunroof. It will offer multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, Hill launch assist, etc. The new Mahindra XUV500 will be offered with two engine options – a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel. While the former will be tuned to produce up to 190bhp of power and over 350Nm of torque, the diesel engine is expected to offer around 180bhp of power. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
