Mahindra Scorpio’s Design and Colours Discussed
Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most successful vehicles of an Indian manufacturer. There is a various reason behind the success of the vehicle such as durability, after-sales service, cost and most importantly, the design. In this blog, we will be focusing on the key elements of the Mahindra Scorpio design.
Mahindra Scorpio Design
Why we considered the shape as a primary exterior element is because when you ask any car designer or even a product designer, his or her priority is on the exterior shape. If the proportions of the vehicles are right then it feels good to our senses. Mahindra Scorpio has been a product of years of development and Mahindra was very concerned about the exterior shape of the SUV. The shape of Mahindra Scorpio is more of a traditional boxy styled SUV and at the same time, it has many curvy elements. The roofline of the SUV is very unique that makes the SUV stand out from other SUVs. Overall, the shape looks good indeed.
Front Grille and Headlamp
From the front, the SUV gets upright bonnet and imposing chrome grille. The chrome inserts resemble the Mahindra’s signature seven-slat grille. Along with the imposing wide grille, Mahindra Scorpio also gets projector headlamp setup and LED eyebrows. The headlamp unit is biggest among the rivals so it enhances the bulkiness of the Mahindra Scorpio design. The Mahindra Scorpio is the only vehicle in the segment to offer functional air vent on the bonnet.
Side Profile
The current generation Scorpio has a similar side profile as of the original Scorpio. Along with the tradition, the SUV also has modern design elements such as silver-finished fender bezel, side cladding, sporty roof rails and bigger 17-inch silver finished alloy wheels which suit the offroad SUV very well.
Rear Profile
As said earlier, the SUV has a traditional boxy type design so the rear is flat. At the rear, the Mahindra Scorpio is equipped with the spoiler, LED taillamps, tail-opener handle, rear wiper, horizontal chrome strip with Mahindra logo at the middle. Overall the rear portion looks good and enhances the overall Mahindra Scorpio design.
The current Scorpio is been offered with a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. The engine produces around 140 bhp max power and 320 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The SUV is been offered with both 4X2 and 4X4 option. The seating arrangement is offered with 7,8 and 9 seater option.
